I watch this every few months, Simon Sinek TEDxm How Great Leaders Inspire. Sound gets better half way through.
“The goal is not to hire people to need a job, but to hire people who believe what you believe. If you hire people because they can do a job, they’ll work for your money. If you hire people who believe what you believe, they’ll work for you with blood, sweat, and tears. “

Future of magazines?
I think everyone is trying to work this one out and a few good considered ideas have popped up like this one shown on creative review recently. The idea of issues and editions of content is a contrast to the always whenever you want of online and one that is worth considering. The points here about the covers etc are as relevant to making an online space valuable as they are with the...

Jonathan Ive on Objectified
I need to pop this on the Xmas list.
So much of this rings true, design should just get out of the way, well designed just works and the easier it is for the end user probably the harder it has been to design. This is the same whether it’s product or web etc.

Discovering Ghostly Music, colours for mood...so...
I have joined the masses and in the next few days will be on the iPhone tip and so finding apps will be a whole new world for me. Along with the essential Train times app etc I quite like the look of this found via @elliotjaystocks http://elliotjaystocks.com/blog/ghostly-discovery/ . Even if the music doesn’t rock my world (which I am sure it will at least tickle it) the interface is...

Super Contemporary Exhibition @ design museum
There was some great work on show but most impressive was how well the exhibition was done. A simple timeline concept with some great pieces from agencies and designers explaining their stories in a visual manner meant a good few hours was spent in what was essentially one room: See and download the full gallery on posterous Posted via email from raymosley’s...

And something I am constantly dropping back to in times where things are going a bit crazy and I need to think “never again”: When I’m standing in the middle of a Crisis, I’m doing two things at the same time. First, I’m frantically trying to fix the issue by any means possible. I’m also carefully looking to identify the root cause of the Crisis. This is information that vanishes in...

Design with impact, Designing Obama
In years to come people will remember the Obama election campaign not only for him and his speeches but the impact of his design campaign. Add to that the impact how his campaign was aided by a design community outside the official channels. Posted via email from raymosley’s posterous | Comment »
Super Contemporary
I really liked this exhibition, the timeline structure worked well and featured many of my favourites in design from Airside to Wayne Hemmingway and Paul Smith Posted via email from raymosley’s posterous | Comment »
Making Of.. new site an essential for film fans
Co-founded by Natalie Portman (yes of Leon fame or star wars if you are that way inclined). I think this site may become an essential for me or anyone else who loves film.
