Discovering Ghostly Music, colours for mood…so simple

I have joined the masses and in the next few days will be on the iPhone tip and so finding apps will be a whole new world for me. Along with the essential Train times app etc I quite like the look of this found via @elliotjaystocks http://elliotjaystocks.com/blog/ghostly-discovery/ . Even if the music doesn’t rock my world (which I am sure it will at least tickle it) the interface is definately interesting. I am sure many would disagree but I find the choice of colour representing mood an interesting concept given that I can envisage darker colours being more sombre in music tone as opposed bright fiery colours which I would presume represent aggressive get up and go. There is however a link within the app to explain the moods, not sure if it would be more fun to leave that stuff out though.

I am all for random and discovery by inspiration rather than drill down specifics so its an interesting concept in user journey.
